“We are particularly thrilled and honored that two Hawaii films were chosen as audience favorites,” says Chuck Boller, Hawaii International Film Festival executive director, referring to THE HAUMANA and DRESS. “This shows that homegrown cinema can stand shoulder to shoulder to our international selections.”

Added Anderson Le, HIFF’s director of programming about DOCUMENTED winning Audience Award for Best Documentary, “The story of award-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas is so riveting, emotional and compelling. It is also timely, serving as a snapshot of the paradigm shift of what is happening in America today.”

We have added one more screening at the Hawaii Theatre next Monday, October 28th at 7:30pm. See THE HAUMANA and DRESS (both Hawaii-made films) for $15. Ticket sales handled through Hawaii Theatre Center.
